In a global IDC survey of 1,305 executives in IT and business transformation, the results are clear: companies with the highest level of flash adoption saw the greatest business benefits across the board.
While flash has become mainstream, IDC identified four types of companies based on their level of flash adoption — flash innovators, flash users, flash aware and flash laggards. IDC mapped these levels of flash adoption to business results, finding that the least flash-advanced users, flash laggards, saw the least benefits while flash innovators excelled in a variety of key business areas.
All-Flash innovators are unlocking innovation by enabling new services, optimising workloads and improving end-user experiences — which in turn boosts business results in this competitive digital economy.
